Blade Modifications
Modifications for a GY6 based engine
Blade Eastside Exhaust (Ultimate for top end)
Uni filter and blade performance intake
What goes out, has to come in right? well since i got a eastside exhaust, i had to get a uni filter. The 2 stage uni, although everyone has, i still got. After all theres a reason everyone gets it! The pre filter does a very good job of keeping large junk and dirt clumps out, while the main, inner stage is for the really fine material (sand, smaller dirt, etc) I added that to the blade performance intake. Now there is another way of mounting this. Its called the "redneck intake" because it mounts to plumbing pipe. If you get it in chrome, it looks really nice! Now remember, the eastside exhaust KIT comes with the uni and intake, so dont buy a redneck intake if your getting the eastside kit.
The redneck modification can be seen here,
Blade Performance CDI
The CDI, also known as a Capacitive Discharge Ignition, is the type of ignition the GY6, and many other scooter, atv, and motorcycle engines use.
The performance CDI is supposed to have a "performance curve" but after testing, the CDI only creates a hotter spark (best with performance coil) and raises the rev limit. Reports have said some GY6 owners have hit 10,000rpm's in there buggy, and i dont doubt it. Ive heard my rpm's scream! (watch the movie, hear that eastside :) )
Blade Performance Coil
The performance coil's main objective is to deliver more voltage to the spark plug, creating a hotter spark. Hotter spark equals better combustion, which results in more power. Paired with the CDI and performance spark plug, the coil will work at full capacity. Its a cheap plug and play part, just like the CDI. (In the engine picture, the orange wire is the Coil)
