2004 Dark Toreador Red Mercury Marauder
32 Valves of pure V8
This part of my page is devoted to my Mercury Marauder, which i picked up 8/22/07 (Aug 22nd). Saw it at Dodge of Paramus in Paramus, NJ (about an hour from me, ugh)
Came across the car on Cars.com after about 6 months of searching. 30k miles, 2 owners, bought at an auction from NY. Clean OASIS report and carfax. Car has quite afew scratches but nothing bad, i removed most of them. This car has absolutely 0 dings, dents, scrapes, rust or cracks. For a car that was leased, its absolutely flawless.
Besides the scratches, the only other flaws on the car would be the fact the last jerk who owned it kept the CD changer magazine, and theres sweet and sour sauce on the windsheild whiper controls. No tears in the seats, oil was clean along with the rest of the engine, wheels are rash free, and tips were not to bad.
Heres some specs that im not taking off of google or wiki, so some could be incorrect but i dont think so.
Engine: 4.6L Double Over Head Cam 32 Valve High Output V8 (Found in Mach 1 and Cobra mustangs)
302hp, 318tq at crank, 250-260ish at wheels.
3.55:1 gears
18" 5 spoke forged aluminum rims wrapped in BFGoodrich Gforce T/A KDWS (Including rears, which are on national backorder)
2.25" True dual exhaust
Leather seats, moonroof, 6cd changer, heated seats..... Lets just say fully loaded DTR, I dont want to type it all out.
The car is definately fast for something that weights 4200lbs and is as long as a single cab XL F150 (212") But i'd like it to be a low 14 sec car until i have the money for a trilogy supercharger. Did I mention it is an "incomplete vehicle" because of the sunroof? Funny story, Ford had an outside company install the sunroofs so any marauder with "2MMH" is incomplete.
